Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in various tasks related to building and construction projects. This role involves hands-on work, requiring physical stamina and a willingness to learn the trade. The Carpenter Helper will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Responsibilities

Assist carpenters in the installation of structures and fixtures, including roofs and frames. Support in concrete forming tasks, ensuring accurate measurements and placements. Help with tile laying, ensuring proper alignment and adhesion. Participate in construction painting activities, preparing surfaces and applying finishes. Aid in construction estimating by measuring materials needed for projects. Assemble wooden structures, furniture, or other items as directed by lead carpenters. Operate power tools safely and effectively under supervision. Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment on site. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Previous experience or interest in carpentry or construction is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with roofing techniques is a plus. Knowledge of concrete forming processes is advantageous. Basic skills in tile laying and painting are desirable. Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is beneficial. Strong physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and long hours on-site. Willingness to learn new skills related to carpentry and construction practices. Must be able to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the job site is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
