Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in various construction projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the carpentry field. This role requires a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic, as you will be involved in a variety of tasks that support the construction and renovation process.

Duties

Assist in the installation of cabinets and other woodwork. Support roof construction and repairs by providing necessary materials and tools. Help build structures according to project specifications and blueprints. Collaborate with electricians on projects requiring electrical installations. Aid in drywall installation and finishing tasks. Interpret schematics to ensure accurate project execution. Participate in flooring installation projects, including measuring and cutting materials. Assist with concrete forming for various construction applications. Utilize hand tools effectively and safely to complete assigned tasks. Help restore existing structures as needed, ensuring quality workmanship.

Skills

Basic knowledge of cabinet installation techniques. Familiarity with roofing systems and construction practices. Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints. Experience or willingness to learn about drywall installation processes. Understanding of flooring installation methods, including tiling and hardwoods. Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, drills, and levels. Knowledge of concrete forming techniques is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 60 per week
