Summary
A Few Good Lads is seeking skilled Carpenters for opportunities across Canada and the US. We have a unique opportunity for anyone looking to emigrate. We are looking for motivated tradespeople with experience in all aspects of carpentry work, from framing and roofing to finishing. Ideal candidates will be comfortable with both residential and commercial projects, and will have the opportunity to work with leading construction firms on a variety of high-profile projects.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on water and heavy concrete
construction projects.
Construct and install concrete forms for commercial structures, ensuring accuracy
and stability.
Cut, shape, and join forms. Look for and fix deficiencies
Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
Studies blueprints for work planning
Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Acts as a work leader and mentors apprentice carpenters
Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate
measures
General site up keep
Minimum Requirements:
Carpenter certification/3rd Year Apprentice Carpenter onwards
Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in a heavy industrial or construction setting.
CSTS 2020 &; WHMIS 2015
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong understanding of carpentry principles and practices
Experience with water control and knowledge about working in wet environments
Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.

Work Conditions:
This role may require you to work in all weather conditions, inside and outside. Locations of work may vary within the radius of your chosen location: Calgary. Sourcing your own means of transportation to and from your working location will be required.
We schedule our workers on a 40 hour per week basis (Monday-Friday), with pay days falling bi-weekly on a Friday. Shift times may vary, however our usual shift is 7:30am-3:30pm (8 hours). Overtime may be required on occasion and will be paid within the provincial employee pay legislation guidelines.
