Interpret blueprints, diagrams, plans, and building codes
Determine the type and amount of material required for each project
Use wood and other materials to build structures and forms to place concrete
Safely operate hand and power tools with caution and precision
Accurately measure and cut materials to the required specification
Establish methods to meet deadlines and coordinate work activities with other departments
Keep a clean and organized work environment
Observe and follow all OSHA Standards
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements
Applicants successful in the interview process will be asked to complete a pre-employment assessment as part of the final hiring process
Minimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
Available to work Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday, occasional Saturday
Day shift start time is between 7 am and 7:30 am
Physically fit with the ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
Construction knowledge: how to build projects depicted
Ability to read blueprints
Proficient in both verbal and written English communication
Outstanding critical thinking skills
Good math and problem-solving skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Local or willing to relocate to Central Alberta
Assets
Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program
3-5 years experience as a Carpenter
Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation
