Carpenter Apprentices

to work with our

Airport Trail Project

team in Calgary!

The schedule for this position is 5 days on 2 days off; Monday to Friday. There may be a chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours/ weekends and night shift) if site requires

.

As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will:

Assist in building forms for concrete Cut, shape, and join specialty materials per specifications Look for and fix deficiencies Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required Study blueprints for work planning Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures Loading/unloading materials Perform labourer duties in addition to carpentry work Maintain clean, organized work areas; remove debris and hazards; support end-of-shift cleanup

Requirements:

Preference will be given to Registered Carpenter Apprentice from a recognized provincial training authority Non-registered carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS Fall Protection is an asset Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
