My name is Alison and I have Cerebral Palsy. My disability affects me physically, and I am cognitively capable of holding regular conversations and thought processes.
The job description includes, but it is not limited to:
-Being my hands and communication
-Making appointments and making phone calls
-Personal care, which includes getting me out of bed and into my commode via ceiling lift (training provided), taking me to the bathroom, dressing and feeding me, giving me showers...
-Driving me wherever I need to go (training provided on how to operate accessible van and ramp)
Requirements:
- Class 5 drivers license
-Comfortable with personal care (will include wiping, showering,dressing, inserting suppositories)
- Animal friendly (I have 3 cats and I dogsit)
Shifts:
-Shifts depend on need and availability
-Part time (maximum 16 hours a week)
Non-smokers preferred
Paid training will be given for every aspect of the job.
Be mindful that i do have a speech impediment and it may be difficult to understand me at times.
No foreign sponsorships will be accepted.
