What We're Looking For:
A caring attitude and a desire to help others.
High school diploma or G.E.D
Reliable transportation.
Legal eligibility to work in Canada (proof required).
Valid driver's license (an asset).
First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
Health Care Assistant or Care Aid qualification.
Required for Working With Vulnerable Clients:
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Up-to-date vaccination records
Current TB screening results.
Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (Get from the RCMP detachment in the town/city you live in.)*
Communication Is Important:
Ability to communicate clearly; speaking and writing clearly in English. Additional languages are an asset!*
What You'll Do:
Assist with daily living, personal care, meals, mobility, and light housekeeping
Provide companionship--chat, walk, play games, watch TV
Give families short breaks (respite care)
Keep accurate records and represent ComForCare professionally
