Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care to individuals across various age groups and health conditions. The ideal candidate will support clients with daily living activities, ensure their safety, and promote their overall well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and patients requiring hospice or dementia care. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly valued. The position involves hands-on caregiving, medication administration, meal preparation, and light cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. The shift times available are 12-3pm and availability is required every second weekend to cover shifts.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide patient care tailored to individual needs, including medication administration and health monitoring Support seniors and individuals with disabilities through companionship and assistance with daily routines Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic environment Support clients with dementia or hospice care by offering emotional support and ensuring safety measures are followed Assist with mobility using proper techniques for heavy lifting to prevent injury Document care provided accurately and report any changes in condition to healthcare professionals or family members

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care settings is preferred Knowledge of working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or hospice care is highly desirable Experience with caregiving tasks such as medication administration, meal preparation, and light cleaning is beneficial Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively support clients during transfers or mobility assistance Strong interpersonal skills to work compassionately with clients from diverse backgrounds Certification in caregiving or nursing-related fields is a plus but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates
