Job Description

We are seeking a Caregiver to accompany and assist our employer who is a Stroke Survivor with all activities of daily living. The employer enjoys watching comedy movies and listening to relaxing music. She also loves to laugh and be entertained so someone who is bubbly, upbeat and patient, that can bring a positive energy would be perfect for this role!

Location:

North Vancouver

Shifts and Hours:

Monday to Sunday 9:00AM to 1:00PM and 4:00PM to 8:00PM Split shifts available & must be flexible

Compensation

$30 per hour

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

All activities of daily living. Assisting the employer with bed baths, peri-care, incontinence care, bowel routine in bed, and personal hygiene. Supporting with medication administration (all medication in blister packs). Meal preparation such as eggs, grilled cheese, etc. Cleaning such as light dishes, dusting, laundry, vacuuming, tidy bathroom, sanitize surfaces, making the bed, and keeping the bedroom tidy.

Required Qualifications:

Non Smoker. Proof of Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Tuberculosis vaccinations. Physically able to complete the tasks necessary for the role. Able to learn the employers communication style. Someone who is patient and takes time to explain what is happening at all times and listens intently.

Preferred Qualifications that would make you stand out:

Minimum 1 year caregiving experience Class 5 Driver's License Living in North Vancouver Experience working with stroke survivors considered an asset Experience working with someone who is bedridden considered an asset
