The individual in this role will support the work of RN, LPNs and regulated inter-professional team members. The Care Team Assistant is responsible for providing a range of direct care and indirect care services to support the care of patients, their families, and their environment. These services are provided under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or regulated inter-professional team member in accordance with their designated college\'s supervision guidelines.Hours of WorkBased on operational requirements, Monday-Friday.Your Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate from an approved Continuing Care Assistant program and Provincial Continuing Care Assistant Certification required.
  • Active registration with the mandatory Continuing Care Assistant Registry required.
  • Current successful completion of a CPR Level C Health Care Provider or Basic Life Support (BLS) course required within the last 12 months.
  • Previous healthcare experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and to accept direction and supervision.
  • Demonstrated professional and mature manner.
  • Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated judgment, problem-solving skills and strong decision-making ability within the scope of employment.
  • Demonstrated initiative within the scope of their employment.
  • Competency in other languages an asset.
