Description:

The Care Manager, Seniors Health performs a front line leadership role in Seniors Health and reports directly to the Area Manager, Seniors Health. This position is responsible and accountable for making front line unit-level decisions and having direct leadership responsibility contributing to the achievement of the goals of Seniors Health. Provides day-to-day leadership, supervision and clinical education for the staff in Long Term Care. In collaboration with the Area Manager, participates in the recruitment, orientation and ongoing evaluation of long term care staff. Coaching and mentoring staff through formal and informal performance evaluation and development conversations. Works closely with the interdisciplinary team that includes families and residents to plan, deliver and evaluate care of the long term care residents. As well, the Care Manager is responsible for the educational needs for all the Long Term Care staff including ensuring annual compulsory education and unit level education is provided on an ongoing basis. Responsible for and participates in budgetary and fiscal responsibilities including payroll and Operational Best Practice.

Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited nursing education program with preference towards bachelor\'s degree in nursing. At least 3-5 years in a healthcare provider role and a minimum of one year working in a leadership capacity. Active registration with the college and association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Additional Required Qualifications: Please note that candidates with a combination of similar healthcare education and relevant experience will also be considered. The successful candidate must have strong communication, organizational, decision-making, and teaching skills, with the ability to foster partnerships and deliver customer focused results.
