Willow Square Continuing Care Centre is looking for a vibrant individual to step into the leadership role of Manager. Reporting to the Area Manager, Seniors Health, you will be in a crucial role supporting patient care. As the Manager, you will be the backbone to our facility, enjoying the autonomy to lead and manage a dedicated team of individuals. Your contribution will be instrumental in fostering an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, making a positive impact on the lives of the residents and their families. Your role will include developing and maintaining an effective framework for the operations and services we provide and ensure the delivery of efficient, effective, and safe care to our residents. Description:
The incumbent of this position will have a strong emphasis on service delivery, enhance workflow, and successfully lead our Long-term Care department. You will possess demonstrated skills in decision-making, coaching, mentoring, teaching, and the ability to motivate, inspire and build confidence in others. You will bring a passion for resident and family-centered care, advocating for residents while working to meet their needs or their family's needs. You will be responsible and accountable for direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of the facility, as well as supporting the vision, mission, and business plan of Assisted Living Alberta. The Manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating change management, promoting team development, teamwork, and coordinating staffing and clinical work.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited health related program and registration with the applicable governing body. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of five years' nursing experience in Continuing Care and/or Acute Care. Minimum of two years' management experience within a unionized environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Continuing Care Accommodation Standards, Continuing Care Health Service Standards and Accreditation Canada Standards. Minimum of two years' management/leadership experience within a unionized environment. Please note that preference will be given to those who have completed a Registered Nurse program and eligible for registration with CRNA.
