Full-Time (35-hours/week)
Curans Heart Centre is a growing cardiology clinic located in the city of Thunder Bay, in the heart of Northwestern Ontario. Curans Heart Centre is a fully accredited site and is committed to the improvement of cardiac health throughout the region. Our team of 9 cardiologists, 2 N.P.s and 7 full-time echo technologists, is committed to providing the highest standard of diagnostic testing. We offer services including echocardiograms, echocardiograms with contrast/saline and stress echocardiography.
Curans Heart Centre is currently seeking a full-time Registered Cardiac Sonographer to work with our multi- disciplinary team, providing services to the communities of Northwestern Ontario. Primary responsibilities include performing accurate echocardiograms and stress echo tests to determine wall motion, valve function and chamber size. Accurately record patient data and test results while adhering to the strict protocols set out by Accreditation Canada Diagnostics and the Ontario Standards for Provision of Echocardiography. Commitment to professionalism while observing and caring for patients throughout the examination to ensure safety, comfort and confidentiality is a top priority.

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Active/Eligible CRCS credentialed member of Sonography Canada (formerly CSDMS/CARDUP) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as a Cardiac Sonographer
Eligible for registry with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
Experience in stress echocardiography, contrast and bubble studies will be considered an asset
Commitment to patient-centered care and sensitivity to individual needs, concerns, and confidentiality
Superior communication skills with patients and colleagues
