Capital Planning Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:





The Capital Planning Project Manager is responsible for key aspects of Hydro's capital planning including the annual Capital Budget Application and the process for new capital work approval



Developing project trackers, monitoring and managing progress and providing progress updates on filings, as required



Support on the submission and approval of documentation including FEED Alignment Documents (FADs), Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and project proposals



Identifying and management of schedule risks



Management of the overall capital work master lists and change management.



Work with various stakeholders, including Regulatory Affairs, Engineering Services and Long-Term Asset Planning, in developing execution strategies



Provide support to Management



Providing proposal and Request for Information (RFI) support to regulatory affairs as required



Managing, tracking and facilitating the approval of all new Capital Work Requests. This includes reviewing requests and recommending appropriate action



This role will also be required to give and attend presentations to the Public Utilities Board.



What We're Looking For:





Strong written and oral communication skills;



Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships with members of various teams;



Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.



What You'll Need:





A university degree in Engineering or technical Project Management or related field with a minimum of 5 years' experience;



The ability to consider differing points of view;



The ability to multitask;



Experience with Microsoft SharePoint;



Experience dealing with customers internally and externally;



A background in regulatory strategy and process is considered an asset.
