Purpose-led work you’ll be part of As a Capital Markets Senior Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing large scale transformation programs for global investment banks
  • Leading delivery from project scoping to conclusion, while consistently keeping the client’s goals in mind
  • Leading engagements, emphasizing the ability to build collaborative relationships with team members and clients
  • Understanding the client’s business and technology strategy and operations through research, interviews, formulating and testing hypotheses
  • Work directly with clients to integrate Business with Technology and Data into meaningful, value added solutions
  • Building and managing trusted advisor relationships at all levels within Capital Markets and build new opportunities and offering
  • Communicating complex information effectively in written and verbal formats to various situations and audiences
  • Approaching new projects with an open mind while demonstrating empathy for coworkers and customers
  • Believing in the value created by diverse teams and can adapt to a variety of working styles
  • Conducting and managing market research and quantitative and qualitative analyses, including the synthesis of complex data into meaningful insights
  • Collaborate with team members at various levels to lead and develop compelling client proposals and thought leadership, describing the business challenge and proposed business and technology solutions, scope, risks and dependencies
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
  • Working experience within Capital Markets Technology or an internal consulting group
  • Hands on exposure to capital markets functions and administration of financial services businesses including sales and trading, risk management (credit, market, and operational), compliance, funding and trading operations, including confirmation, settlement, regulatory reporting, reconciliation, and exception processing
  • Understanding of capital markets industry, global trading and capital markets products (bonds, equities, derivatives, etc)
  • Strong experience within Technology and Data strategy and transformation
  • Solid understanding / prior experience with technology domains including and not limited to Technology Architecture, Automation, Data strategy, etc.
  • Well versed in Capital Market regulations (conduct, trading, clearing, margin, KYC, privacy, trade and transaction reporting), regulators (OSFI, IIROC, CFTC, SEC, FCA, etc.), as well as, upcoming changes as part of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) work program and broader portfolio of work (ESG, rate reform, crypto currencies, culture)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trade life cycles and position management
  • Interest in emerging technologies and advanced analytics related to capital markets and asset management
  • Familiarity with technology concepts including architecture (e.g. business, technical, logical, data), data strategy, governance and management, systems/applications (e.g. trade booking, investment book of record, collateral management, risk management)
  • Working knowledge of common capital markets reference data types (entity, counterparty, product, trade, settlement, etc.) and systems interactions including IT tools and technology
  • Self motivated with a passion for client work and team work
  • Ability to multitask and manage ambiguity as you navigate change at the client site
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
  • Proficiency in French and Spanish is considered an asset
