Position Overview:


The Manufacturing Capex/Opex Coordinator provides support, guidance and financial analysis to the production team and the finance department.

What You'll Do:



Responsible for managing CAPEX/OPEX budgets Co-ordinate CAPEX/OPEX inputs from primes, track spend, suggest cost savings/improvement recommendations to plant manager Create Purchase Orders as needed ensuring the correct use of Accounting general ledger codes and Finance project codes Support Sr Cost accountant and process vendor invoices for payment in a timely manner in collaboration with the Accounts Payable department and follow-up with payment status as needed Track receipt of physical assets at the facilities and communicate those receipts to accounting for accrual Assist in the preparation of department reports, budgets and expenses as needed Works collaboratively with production department and Cost accountant to establish cost standards for manufacturing operations as required Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data Negotiate with vendors Other departmental tasks as required

Let's Talk About You:



Post-secondary Education with a focus on Administration and or Accounting preferred Experience working in a Manufacturing or apparel company preferred Computer Savvy. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook and advanced Excel Attention to detail and accuracy Numeracy skills Negotiation skills, strong verbal and written communication and follow up skills
