Position Summary

The Skating Instructor plays an essential role in creating a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for skaters of all ages and skill levels. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering a love for skating, and helping each participant develop confidence and skill on the ice. The Instructor contributes to the overall success of the skating program by maintaining an atmosphere of fun, learning, and excellence -- both on and off the ice. Through collaboration, communication, and enthusiasm, the Instructor supports the Head of Skating in cultivating a strong sense of community and achievement among members and colleagues alike.

Bring beautiful energy to the skaters & members when teaching and interacting Help assist with the program as a whole to develop the environment of skating & learning Assist with set up, attendance, class management & coaching excellence at all sessions Be willing to teach any level and age of skater with intention Build relationships with colleagues in a respectful & collaborative way Communicate any challenges or ideas directly with the Head of Skating to bring about solutions Celebrate skaters on their personal achievements through efforts made

Working Conditions

This position operates 100% on-site Regular evenings or weekend work may be required during peak periods or special events Own transportation is an asset as public transportation is not frequent to/from the Club Candidates must agree to complete a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector search as part of the onboarding process
