Job Description

Camp New Moon is looking for someone to be part of our canoe tripping team for the upcoming summer. Canoe tripping is a big part of the camp experience at New Moon. Our Canoe Trips range in length from simple overnights to 7-day canoe trips. The majority of these trips take place in Algonquin Park.

We are looking for individuals who have experience leading canoe trips, preferably including groups of children/youth. Applicants should be knowledgeable with route planning, navigation, meal planning, site set-up and take down as well as maintaining safety while on trip. Wilderness First Aid and Swim qualifications are also required. Familiarity with Algonquin Park is an asset.

Camp New Moon is a children's summer camp located in Muskoka that has been in operation since 1960. Children aged 7-16 attend New Moon each summer for durations ranging from 1 to 7 weeks. New Moon is proud to offer a wide range of instructional activities for campers to participate in throughout the summer.
