About the Role

The Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician will assist with the day-to-day post-harvest tasks and ensure compliance with Health Canada's Cannabis Regulations along with following Health and Safety protocols. This role will be responsible for the execution of sanitation, harvesting, drying/curing, trimming, and packaging tasks throughout the facility pursuant to MJardin's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

Job duties

• Adhere to all relevant SOP's related to post-harvest activities, including but not limited to sanitation, post-production, and processing tasks.
• Complete core cultivation tasks and duties as required, including: sanitation, cannabis harvesting, drying/curing, trimming, packaging tasks.
• Post-harvest breakdown and clean-up
• Cannabis waste collection and destruction
• Responsible for accurately completing appropriate documentation and records as directed by Management.
• Promptly report any deviations from SOP's to Management
• Ensure safe work procedures are being followed and report hazards and unsafe work to the Logistics Manager, HR or Health of Security
• Following the facility cleaning and sanitation program, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, wiping, tool and equipment cleaning.
• Maintenance and monitoring of facility systems.
• Working with trimming and packaging machinery.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Prior Post-Harvest experience within the following industries: cannabis, greenhouse, or agriculture, an asset.
• Relevant prior work experience in comparable work environment
• Computer literate, able to effective use email (MS Outlook), MS Word, MS Teams, basic MS Excel
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to read and comprehend technical documents, such as SOP's.
