We are looking to hire a Temporary Full-Time Middle Years Teacher beginning immediately until October 31, 2025.

Cando Community School has an alternate calendar and has several 4-day workweeks allowing for 14 Fridays off throughout the school year.

The teaching assignment will include Gr 7 - 9 ELA, Social Studies, Art, PAA, and Physical Education, as well as Wildlife 10.

Cando Community School

Cando Community School is located in the Hamlet of Cando. Our school has a Kindergarten to Grade 12 program, attended by students from the Red Pheasant Cree First Nation, Mosquito First Nation, and surrounding areas. We are looking for a teacher who is skilled and adept at bringing First Nations history to all curricula through an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens. This special candidate should be able to differentiate instruction in an alternative learning environment and be able to build relationships with students to provide meaningful connections to the curriculum for them. They should also be an advocate for student needs, finding innovative and creative ways to include student voice in school decision-making structures. Organization and flexibility are highly valued.
