Experienced Canadian or US Immigration Associate Lawyer to join our growing boutique law firm. Must have significant experience with Canadian and/or US immigration law. We are seeking an experienced associate to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate will have 2 plus years of experience in immigration law, Must be a Canadian or US-licensed lawyer in good standing and good reputation. This position requires a strong understanding of client management and advising and strategy and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience multitasking in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Attention to detail and superior communication skills, both verbal and written are critical skills for this position. Who We Are

About You:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in immigration law for Canadian and US immigration law
  • Superior legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Experience and excellence in complex legal analysis
  • Ability to manage many cases simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment

Responsibilities:
  • Strong oral advocacy and troubleshooting skills in assisting clients
  • Ability to keep up to date with changes in the law
  • Preparation of presentations for corporate clients
  • Ensure precedents are correct and up to date according to any recent changes in the law
  • Client Management via telephone, meetings, and email correspondence
  • Propose a plan of action or appropriate strategies
  • The lawyer will have an active engagement in billing

Qualifications:
  • Law Degree along with a Canadian Call to the Bar or US License
  • Excellent organizational, verbal/ written communication skills
