Department Overview
Canadian Personal Banking supports customers across Canada with their everyday banking needs through over 1,000 branches, telephone support and online capabilities. Our teams ensure customers have the right products and advice to meet their individual needs.

TD\'s Distribution Strategy team in the Canadian Personal Bank, works to define strategies to enable our organizational distribution transformation objectives. Our team focuses on strategy topics crossing multiple channels of distribution within the Canadian Personal Bank.

Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. You will work with experienced colleagues, receive world class training, and be part of a community of students across TD, where you will have an impact, grow as individual and experience our culture of care.

Our Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:

  • Lunch and Learns on topics such as Innovation
  • Diversity and Inclusion and Personal Branding and so much more



The goal of the Indigenous Peoples \xe2\x80\x93 Distribution Strategy area is to make TD the bank of choice for customers from Indigenous communities. We do this by on generating and executing initiatives that improve customer experience, create greater access to banking services & advice, support colleagues with tools & knowledge and understanding customers evolving needs.

The opportunity will help to provide a range of experiences to help build leadership, relationship management skills, problem solving, analysis and strategic thinking, through hands on experience.

Accountabilities may include the following:
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and business cases in support of initiatives and in-depth research projects
  • Build an understanding of the personal banking needs of customers from Indigenous communities and how to best meet them
  • Conduct competitive analysis and provide recommendations to implement
  • Use strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to add value
  • Assist with business planning
  • Define opportunities to enhance business processes and develop the confidence to tackle challenging tasks

Job Requirements
You\xe2\x80\x99re a well-rounded person who works well independently and as part of a team. You have a strong desire to learn, grow and succeed. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree, graduate or diploma program in Business/Commerce, Indigenous studies, a related field or another degree combined with work experience.

What You Bring to TD
  • You must identify as an Indigenous person within Canada \xe2\x80\x93 First Nations (Status or Non-Status), Inuit or M\xc3\xa9tis, and be a resident in Canada.
  • Flexibility to work virtually from home, but also to work from Toronto downtown office.
  • Effective written and oral communications skills with positive personality and willingness to accept challenges
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organization and research skills
  • Enthusiastic relationship builder
  • A strong analytical mind with attention to detail and desire to learn and grow
  • Proactive, takes initiative
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and internet applications
