We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team for 8 weeks in the role of Marketing Manager as part of the Canada summer job grant program.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct demographic surveys to identify the target market for our portfolio of brands.
  • Utilize results of a market survey to determine the most suitable medium for advertisement.
  • Plan, develop, and implement marketing strategies essential to the achievement of set targets.
  • Prepare and present a realizable and detailed budget to executives for approval.
  • Support the introduction of new client districts to ensure alignment and reception by the target market.
  • Obtain information on consumer product opinion by interviewing and distributing questionnaires to consumers.
  • Oversee the design and publishing of advert materials.
  • Review marketing concepts to ensure the right message is passed across to consumers.
  • Calculate cost of production and percent profit to determine price of new products/service.
  • Utilize social media platforms to promote and publicize products and services in order to reach a target market.
  • Contact media agencies to subscribe to advertising spaces on television, radio, and print publications.
  • Produce catalogs which contain a list of available products and their accompanying price.
  • Create and maintain consistent corporate brand/image voice cross product lines, events, and promotional materials, and throughout company departments.
  • Coordinate operations of the company\'s email program and website on a daily basis, and also perform analytics reviews.
  • Spot new marketing opportunities for companies and carry out marketing initiatives.
  • Support and coordinate company promotional and advertising communications projects such as electronic, print, and special events to execute parts of the marketing plan.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders for events/programs, as appropriate.
  • Create relevant reports on marketing programs, including post-event reports, regular status reports, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the team and coordinate the design, production, and distribution of collateral and promotional materials to aid the company\'s sales and marketing programs.
  • Responsible for all company interactions on social media, including responding to messages, creating messages, and uploading photos.
  • Apply various social media tactics in creating brand awareness and generating inbound traffic that strengthens the company\'s social media presence.
  • Apply various digital analytics and media tracking tools to generate reports on progress of work on social media.
  • Coordinate company\xe2\x80\x99s involvement in the activities of community organizations.
  • Create original, error free, clear, and concise copy for website content, promotional materials, blog entry, and newsletter that ensures compelling and effective communication.

The successful role holder will need to have a positive attitude, quick thinking, problem solving skills and the ability to fulfill competing priorities.
This position is a part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program with funding provided by Service Canada.
Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered:
  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person on whom refugee protections have been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations (international students on a work/study permit are not eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program).
  • Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible.

Qualifications :
  • Bachelor Degree /Certificate in Marketing and/or related fields.
  • Relevant Experience (if any)
  • "Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check" (Mandatory).
  • Valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment (Mandatory).

Work Schedule:
  • Working Hours: 35 hours/ week, Monday - Friday
  • Start Date: Tuesday, 20th June, 2023
  • Work Duration: 8 weeks
