Closely collaborating with the Talent Management team, the individual in this role will be responsible for coordinating student focused events, lead teams and projects and engage with students across Teck. The successful candidate must possess outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals of a diverse set of backgrounds.Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PDT or MDT or relocate to a specific office (site-based). You must also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the co-op term (you will also be returning back to the post-secondary institution once the co-op term is completed). • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Support Teck's student-employee engagement and retention strategy involving events/activities and leading student-focused programs.
• Build relationships and communicate effectively with external organizations and internal business partners.
• Assist with our nationwide Campus Recruitment Program, both virtually and on-campus at local post-secondary institutions
• Participate in a diverse number of projects that aim to strengthen Teck's talent attraction, recruitment, and retention strategies.
• Actively contribute ideas and input to ensure that Teck's campus programs are innovative, impactful, and relevant.
• Potential involvement in co-op recruitment activities such as screening resumes, facilitating interviews, etc.

Qualifications

• Working towards an undergraduate or master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Arts, Communications, or other related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.
• Experience with event planning and project management
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work effectively independently as well as part of the team
• Proven ability to learn innovative technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment.
• Able to articulate complex concepts clearly and in a way a diverse audience would understand.
