Position Summary: The Campground Lead Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the RV Parks at both the Resort and Spruce Grove locations. The role-holder will work closely with business leaders across the resort, driving solutions and adapting to changing priorities while reinforcing Fairmont Hot Springs Resort's brand and culture.
Note that this is a full-time, temporary position. Pay for this position is $25.00/hr.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• In collaboration with respective supervisors, provide oversight and support across all facets of the ticket offices and grounds departments of the Resort RV Park, Spruce Grove Seasonal RV sites, and the Spruce Grove RV Park and campground.
• Integrate RV operations with overall resort operations to maximize and drive profitability while ensuring enhanced guest satisfaction.
• Establish and implement standards for performance that ensure our guests have an amazing experience across the whole operation.
• In collaboration with the Director of Sales and Marketing, build and develop the sales and marketing vision and tactics for the RV Parks and Campground to align with the resort's overall strategies.
• In conjunction with the Director of Finance/Controller, prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts as to financial projections of the business unit as well as monitor/justify all variances & performance e.g. audits through the fiscal cycle.
• In consultation with the Director of Infrastructure, lead the planning and accomplishment of future expansions and capital deployment, focused on the guest experience, and based upon business need and the availability of resources.
• Monitor the physical condition of the RV Parks, including the built and natural environment, and ensure all planned and responsive maintenance is conducted in a safe and timely manner, and is within the approved budget.
• Recruit, monitor and develop the RV team, providing training and day-to-day supervision, performance management, professional development, conducting performance reviews and evaluations, and delivering recognition.
• Monitor and assess product and service and satisfaction trends in RV Parks and Campgrounds, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Ensure staff have current knowledge of resort offerings, products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of resort and local area.
• Monitor weekly staff work schedule, based on forecasted business levels while monitoring labor costs in accordance with budget.
• Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code.
• Performs any other duties as assigned from time to time.
• Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
Education
• Bachelor's Degree preferred with preference given to those with Tourism, Business, Management, or other relevant specialties. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in leadership positions within full-service RV, Campground, Hotel, or Resort setting preferred with key emphasis on guest satisfaction and business management.
• Understanding and knowledge of our RV Parks and Campground an asset.
Skills
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage concurrent deliverables, and to work effectively and independently in a milestone-driven environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Polished and professional demeanor and appearance.
• Computer Skills - Demonstrated ability with regard to computer skills, including a high level of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
