POSITION SUMMARY:



The Camp & Yard Coordinator is responsible for the overall maintenance of the Grande Prairie Camp and Yard. The role includes providing support in a fast paced, high call volume environment. The role includes completion of operational and administrative tasks as necessary in a timely and accurate manner.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



The duties and responsibilities that are expected to be performed by a competent Camp & Yard Coordinator are the following:

Camp and Crew House management duties to include:

o Tracking of all occupants and appropriate reporting to Payroll;

o Check-ins and Check-outs with all camp occupants

o Coordination of cleaning needs with Cleaner;

o Coordination of maintenance as required;

o Coordination of ordering supplies as needed for camp;

o Other camp and crew house duties as required.

Responsible for maintenance of shop and building equipment, like replacing furnace filters.

o Camp Maintenance.

o Septic's being monitored and emptied

Take new hires on detailed tours of shop and yard.

Snow clearing during winter months as well as salting and dropping gravel in yard and walkways, using loaders, skid steer and hand tools.

Level approach and drag yard as needed during summer months.

Cold storage inventory, Sea Cans.

Monitor inventory and inspect maintenance for tank farm, fueling station and white shed.

Move units to 3rd party shops as required.

Make sure the yard is kept in an orderly fashion.

Move units around as needed.

The yard coordinator will monitor and report:

o To the branch manager regarding any deficiencies in the yard and assist the branch manager with various tasks related to truck requirements in the yard.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:



- Strong organizational skills, and ability to use technology to improve job efficiency in increase speed of reporting of findings.

- High school diploma (GED or equivalent).

- Class 1 or 3 license would be viewed as an asset.

- Clean class 5 driver's abstract is a MUST (less than 6 demerits).

- 2 - 5 years of experience in a similar role.

- Required safety tickets: Standard First Aid.

- A basic understanding of various tractor trailer units and their operation.

- Excellent computer skills.

- Process driven.

- Excellent paperwork.

- Strong work ethic and reliability.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:



This is a full-time hourly position. Standard hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm however hours may vary, and some weekend work may be required. On-call responsibilities will be required, as well as overtime hours as required.
