Job Overview:

North River Outfitting is a family-operated outfitting business located in the Cassiar Mountains region, about 300 km north of Smithers, BC, near the Yukon border. This fly-in-only location provides remote wilderness experiences for guests.

We are currently reposting this position for the 2025 season.

The Camp Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations, coordination of staff, and overall maintenance of camp facilities and services. The role requires ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both guests and personnel while meeting all hospitality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, and implement camp operating procedures and policies Participate in setting pricing and promotional strategies Register and assist clients upon arrival and throughout their stay Supervise daily operations and guest activities Hire, train, schedule, and supervise camp staff Oversee supplies and equipment for the main camp Provide support to European and international clients

Qualifications and Skills:

Completion of secondary school is required Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations Experience with inventory control and staff scheduling systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently in remote locations and under varied weather conditions
