The Role

Camp Counsellors at Saunders Farm Camp are responsible, energetic, and passionate individuals who love working with children. Guided by our Camp Director, our Camp Counsellors value being outside and helping our campers play, learn and grow at Saunders Farm.


Key Responsibilities:

Uphold the Saunders Farm mission, vision and values Supervise an assigned group of 10-12 campers Plan, lead and implement camp programing for Farm Campers Ensure assigned campers are safe, happy and enjoying their camp experience Model appropriate behavior as it relates to sportsmanship, manners and respectfulness Be knowledgeable of campers dietary restrictions/allergies and ensure meals are properly served Make sure camp rules and schedule are followed Perform first aid when needed and complete appropriate forms Maintain farm cleanliness and encourage campers to clean up after themselves Communicate with parents during pick-up and drop-off Be a mentor and a teacher to Counsellors in Training (CIT's)

To be successful in this role, you will need:

High school diploma, or active enrollment in a school Experience working with children in camps or other settings Enthusiastic, fun-generating and energetic personality Enjoys being outdoors Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills High level of responsibility and accountability First Aid & CPR; or availability to attend training before camp starts

Job Types: Summer employment, July-August. Training begins the last week of June.

Working Hours: Weekday shifts daily between 7:30am & 5:30pm. July 7 - August 29, 2025
