Camp Cook Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Camp Cook to join our team. As a camp cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook delicious and nutritious meals. Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring ingredients. Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets food safety standards. Monitor inventory levels, estimate food requirements, place order, and pick up supplies. Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment after each use. Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen.
Requirements:

Valid class 5 driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving Abstract. Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role in the food industry. Valid Food Safe Certification. Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and cooking methods. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others. Willing to work out of town.
About the Company: We are a Whitehorse Yukon based Construction Company. We build residential projects ranging from custom and spec homes to multi-family townhouse developments. We have contracts around Yukon in many different communities.
