Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Cook to join our team for an exciting summer experience. Ideal candidates will have experience in the food industry and possess skills related to meal preparation and food safety.

You will live at our Camp Columbus facility for 7 weeks during the summer. You will have your own accommodations/bathroom and be responsible for grocery shopping and transport of food to camp. Children and counsellors are typically 30 per week and children are at camp from Sunday to Friday.

Responsibilities

Meal preparation and food service during camp meals, adhering to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas and dining facilities, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging teamwork, respect. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to address any concerns or needs with respect to Food services.

Skills

Experience in the restaurant or food industry is preferred; knowledge of food handling and preparation is a plus. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential for maintaining a healthy camp environment. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while ensuring camper satisfaction.

Pay: $18.11-$20.00 per hour
