Duties

Develop and deliver comprehensive mathematics lessons tailored to diverse student needs and learning styles Create engaging instructional materials and activities to enhance understanding of mathematical concepts Assess student progress through tests, quizzes, and assignments, providing constructive feedback Adapt teaching methods for students with special education needs or those requiring additional support Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and critical thinking Utilize laboratory or practical experiences when applicable to reinforce theoretical knowledge Provide tutoring sessions outside regular class hours for students needing extra assistance Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and progress

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus Prior classroom experience teaching mathematics at the relevant grade level Strong knowledge of math concepts across various levels and curriculum standards Experience with tutoring students individually or in small groups Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations is desirable Laboratory experience related to math or STEM activities is advantageous Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts clearly and engagingly Ability to foster an inclusive and motivating learning environment Passion for education and continuous professional development in teaching methodologies
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 6 per week
