The Bakery Clerk / Cake Decorators are responsible for preparing in-store made cakes and pastries daily. This includes attending to the needs of our customers, product quality assurance and maintaining department standards, all in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. \xc2\xb7 We are looking for someone who has previous experience working in a Professional Bakery setting. \xc2\xb7 This is a Part Time position: 16 \xe2\x80\x93 32 hours / week. \xc2\xb7 Open availability is required \xe2\x80\x93 Days, Evenings and Weekends. \xc2\xb7 Competitive wage based on experience. & Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Provide excellent customer service skills \xe2\x80\x93 enjoy serving customers with a friendly and approachable demeanor. \xc2\xb7 Self-motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work in an energetic, fast paced environment. \xc2\xb7 Ability to multi-task \xe2\x80\x93 excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills. \xc2\xb7 Effective communication and listening skills. \xc2\xb7 Adhere to all department standard operating procedures, food safety protocols, health & safety policies and general store policies. \xc2\xb7 Ensure all products are properly stored and rotated to ensure freshness. \xc2\xb7 Assist in receiving incoming products and inspect for freshness and quality. \xc2\xb7 Ice and decorate cakes and pastries. \xc2\xb7 Fill and prepare cakes for decorating. \xc2\xb7 Mix icing. \xc2\xb7 Prepare special orders. \xc2\xb7 Keep work area clean and presentable at all times. \xc2\xb7 Awareness of product changes and seasonal requirements. \xc2\xb7 Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and uniform. Physical Demands: Walking; standing, reaching, bending, twisting, hand dexterity, ability to carry/lift 50 lbs. Job Type: Part-time
