In a fun-filled and exciting work environment, the Cage & Coin Cashier/ Cage Supervisor ensures our guests receive fast and flawless service. The position requires a self-motivated leader who is responsible for mentoring staff and providing a pleasant and efficient work atmosphere by fostering teamwork and open communication. We are looking for an experienced and skilled professional with strong organizational skills, and an eye for detail and accuracy. In this pivotal position, you oversee all cage operations and ensure compliance with applicable regulations governing monetary transactions with accountability for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental data and paperwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Counts and verifies opening and closing floats for all coin, currency, chips, and lottery items
  • Exchanges foreign currency and traveler\xe2\x80\x99s cheques for cash, redeems chips for cash, and exchanges large Canadian currency for smaller bills
  • Counts and physically lays out cash and value chips
  • Records transactions in Casino Management Software and verifies printed reports
  • Responsible for overseeing and directing the operation of the Cage.
  • Supervises, mentors, develops staff while fostering teamwork and open communication
  • Reconciles chip inventories and completes site chip transfers.
  • Calls in, accepts, verifies, records, and deposits cash and coin orders.
  • Oversees ticket redemption machine loading and reconciliation, auditing, and tracking sheets, and troubleshoots related customer problems.
  • Performs other duties as required in the absence of other supervisory staff.
What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field with 1 or more years of experience in a leadership role
  • Proven high level of Customer Service
  • Ability to work in confined, closed area with physical ability to kneel, crouch, stand for long periods and push, pull or lift objects up to 20 lbs.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and familiarity with a high-volume, fast paced, shift-work environment
  • Working knowledge of computer software and the ability to learn new software and systems
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
