Playground is an internationally renowned gaming destination located a short 15-minute drive south of downtown Montreal, within the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake. We are currently expanding, unveiling new gaming floors, a luxurious hotel, and specialized dining options.

Position Overview:

We are actively seeking an experienced, dedicated, and dependable Cage Cashier to join our dynamic team. As a Cage Cashier at Playground, you will be at the financial forefront of our operations, ensuring seamless and secure transactions for our valued customers.

Responsibilities:

• Cash tickets, coins, or chips for customers and Team Members.
• Handle large amounts of money (accounting for total funds received throughout the day and closing numbers).
• Exchange foreign currency for customers.
• Perform numerous interdepartmental telephone functions.
• Operate any and all office devices (ex. computer, calculators, and money counter machines).
• Identify and accurately deal with different denominations (chips, cash currency, POS terminal).
• Maintain accountability over a cashier drawer and balance it at the end of shift.
• Perform all duties in a confidential manner.
• Maintain database (updating customer records and flagging of duplicate accounts).
• Assist in counting and balancing all revenue related tasks.
• Attend required training sessions offered by Playground.
• Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
• Have knowledge of the regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member\xe2\x80\x99s department.
• Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
• Report illegal activity to Security and Surveillance or appropriate levels of Management.

Requirements:

• Ability to remain standing (and/or sitting) for the majority of shift on the Cage floor and efficiently move around the surrounding areas
• Must be able to withstand varying levels of crowds and noise levels
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow Team Members
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Flexibility with scheduling (nights, weekends, holidays, special events, and extended hours)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with experience of business specific software or computer applications preferred
• Fluency in English and French (written/spoken)
• Experience as a cashier is a strong asset

Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s:

• \xc3\x89changer des billets, pi\xc3\xa8ces ou jetons en esp\xc3\xa8ces pour les clients et les membres de l\'\xc3\xa9quipe.
• G\xc3\xa9rer de grosses sommes d\'argent (en tenant compte du total des fonds re\xc3\xa7us tout au long de la journ\xc3\xa9e et des chiffres de cl\xc3\xb4ture).
• \xc3\x89changer des devises \xc3\xa9trang\xc3\xa8res pour les clients.
• Effectuer de nombreuses fonctions t\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9phoniques interminist\xc3\xa9rielles.
• Utiliser tous les appareils de bureau (ex. ordinateurs, calculatrices et compteurs d\'argent).
• Identifier et traiter avec pr\xc3\xa9cision les diff\xc3\xa9rentes d\xc3\xa9nominations (jetons, monnaie en esp\xc3\xa8ces, terminal de point de vente).
• Maintenir la responsabilit\xc3\xa9 sur un tiroir-caisse et \xc3\xa9quilibrez-la \xc3\xa0 la fin du quart de travail.
• Effectuer toutes les t\xc3\xa2ches de mani\xc3\xa8re confidentielle.
• Maintenir la base de donn\xc3\xa9es (mise \xc3\xa0 jour des enregistrements clients et marquage des comptes en double).
• Aider \xc3\xa0 compter et \xc3\xa0 \xc3\xa9quilibrer toutes les t\xc3\xa2ches li\xc3\xa9es aux revenus.
• Assister aux s\xc3\xa9ances de formation obligatoires offertes par Playground.
• Effectuer les t\xc3\xa2ches d\xc3\xa9crites en conformit\xc3\xa9 avec les lois et r\xc3\xa9glementations locales.
• Prendre les mesures n\xc3\xa9cessaires pour vous assurer que les mineurs ne sont pas autoris\xc3\xa9s \xc3\xa0 jouer ou \xc3\xa0 fl\xc3\xa2ner dans les zones de jeu, \xc3\xa0 boire des boissons alcoolis\xc3\xa9es ou \xc3\xa0 acheter du tabac.
• Avoir une connaissance des r\xc3\xa8glements, des politiques et des proc\xc3\xa9dures relatifs au d\xc3\xa9partement du membre de l\'\xc3\xa9quipe.
• Consulter les Proc\xc3\xa9dures de contr\xc3\xb4le interne et les Manuels de politique pour obtenir des conseils.
• Signaler les activit\xc3\xa9s ill\xc3\xa9gales \xc3\xa0 la S\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 et \xc3\xa0 la surveillance ou aux niveaux de gestion appropri\xc3\xa9s.

Exigences:

• Capacit\xc3\xa9 de rester debout (et / ou assis) pendant la majorit\xc3\xa9 du quart de travail sur le plancher de la cage et de se d\xc3\xa9placer efficacement dans les zones environnantes
• Doit pouvoir r\xc3\xa9sister \xc3\xa0 diff\xc3\xa9rents niveaux de foule et de bruit
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 communiquer efficacement avec les clients et les autres membres de l\'\xc3\xa9quipe
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 effectuer plusieurs t\xc3\xa2ches et \xc3\xa0 rester calme et professionnel dans un environnement en \xc3\xa9volution rapide
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 ex\xc3\xa9cuter des fonctions math\xc3\xa9matiques de base
