Cafeteria Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafeteria Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafeteria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and management, ensuring that our team delivers high-quality meals and exceptional customer service. This role requires effective leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and the ability to manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily cafeteria operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving. Manage inventory and ensure proper food handling and safety protocols are followed. Train, mentor, and supervise staff to maintain high standards of customer service and food quality. Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate transactions using POS systems, including Micros POS. Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members. Develop menus that cater to dietary needs while ensuring cost-effectiveness. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Experience

Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management is essential. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. Experience with supervising teams and managing staff effectively. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is required. Previous experience in the hospitality industry or hotel environments is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is crucial. Barista experience is a plus for those interested in enhancing beverage offerings.
