We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe team member to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, demonstrating excellent leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role requires effective team management, ensuring that all staff are trained and motivated to deliver high-quality food and beverage services while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Duties
Manage daily operations of the cafe, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Supervise and train cafe staff in food preparation, cash handling, and customer service protocols.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Implement health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food handling standards.
Handle POS transactions efficiently and accurately, resolving any discrepancies as needed.
Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process of new team members.
Develop schedules for staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and food handling practices.
Strong knowledge of POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
Proven leadership abilities with experience in team management within a cafe or restaurant setting.
Excellent interviewing skills to identify suitable candidates for the team.
Background in hotel or hospitality management is a plus.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
Strong communication skills with a focus on helping both customers and staff effectively.
