We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and restaurant management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily cafe operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers. Manage staff, including hiring, training, and supervising team members to deliver excellent service. Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for cash handling and transaction management. Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient operations. Implement effective team management strategies to foster collaboration and productivity. Develop schedules for staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety practices within the cafe. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures. Previous experience in supervising staff with demonstrated leadership abilities. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems (Clover). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively lead a diverse team. Experience in interviewing candidates for various positions within the cafe is a plus. Barista experience is beneficial but not required; hotel experience is also an asset.
