Our focus is on creating a warm, welcoming space where guests can enjoy thoughtfully crafted beverages, unique chai blends, specialty coffees, and light bites. With an emphasis on quality ingredients, authentic flavors, and exceptional service, we aim to deliver a memorable experience for every guest.

As part of our opening leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to grow with the company, shape operations from the ground up, and help define the guest experience at this new cafe destination.

Summary



We are seeking a passionate and experienced

Cafe Manager

to oversee all aspects of our cafe's operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, values great service, and has a strong eye for detail. The Cafe Manager will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining service and product quality, overseeing financial performance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, business acumen, and a passion for hospitality -- someone who can inspire the team while driving efficiency, consistency, and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities



Lead and manage daily cafe operations to ensure excellence in service, quality, and efficiency. Recruit, train, and mentor cafe staff, creating a positive and motivated work environment. Oversee scheduling, labor management, and staffing levels to meet operational needs. Ensure all food and beverage items meet established quality, presentation, and consistency standards. Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and purchasing to control costs and minimize waste. Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues with professionalism and care. Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards. Monitor financial performance, analyze sales reports, and support budgeting and forecasting. Collaborate with ownership on menu innovation, promotions, and marketing initiatives. Foster a culture of hospitality that reflects the cafe's values and creates memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Cafe Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar leadership role. Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Solid understanding of cafe operations, cost control, and financial reporting. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Proficiency in POS systems; experience with Micros POS is an asset. Passion for hospitality, food, and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
