Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe located in downtown Toronto. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your role will also involve cash handling and supervising various cafe activities to ensure smooth operations.

Duties

Supervise and train cafe staff to deliver outstanding customer service and hospitality. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. Manage daily operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining the cafe and equipment. Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system. Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement in service quality.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or food service industry. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. A background in hotel management or related fields is a plus but not required.
