We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations of our bustling cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to create a welcoming environment for our guests.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily cafe activities, including food preparation, serving, and cleaning.
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards of hospitality.
Interview and hire new staff members, providing ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of ingredients and supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health codes.
Ensure adherence to food industry standards, including proper food handling and safety protocols.
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster a positive dining experience.
Assist in menu planning, food presentation, and quality control to uphold the cafe's reputation.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles, preferably within the food service or hotel industry.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential.
Supervising experience with team management capabilities; leadership skills are a must.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, including kitchen management and customer service excellence.
Ability to interview candidates effectively and build a cohesive team environment.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Prior experience in food industry settings such as cafes, restaurants, or bars is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
