About Cafe Lunette

Cafe by day, bistro by night, we proudly play host to morning coffee and viennoiserie, breezy business lunches, weeknight rendezvous, lazy Sunday brunches and everything in between. Our menus feature a greatest hits list of timeless French classics -- from traditional onion soup and steak tartare, to comforting boeuf Bourguignon and seafood bouillabaisse. On weekends, we invite our guests to rise and shine for a rich variety of pastries, crepes, galettes and breakfast sandwiches.





Cafe Lunette is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing dishes to the highest standards and ensuring a smooth flow of service. By training team members, maintaining consistency in food quality, and collaborating with chefs, you will contribute to a positive, professional, and efficient kitchen environment.



What you will be doing:



performing delegated tasks from Sous Chef, Chef and/or General Manager; maintaining high levels of food quality, consistency, and presentation at all times; following recipes, portion controls and presentation specification as set by the restaurant; maintaining a prep list of station duties; following the FIFO method to maximize freshness; training, mentoring and coaching junior staff, fostering teamwork and growth; assisting in food inventory and control; assisting in properly receiving and storing delivered items; cleaning food prep areas, equipment, utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines; strictly adhere to WHMIS and MSDS guidelines;

The person we are looking for has:



A passion for food and a minimum of 2 years of similar work experience. Culinary diploma is an asset High volume restaurant experience Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail A proven ability to plan and prioritize Basic knowledge of culinary operations, a team player, a hard worker, and detail oriented A flexible schedule and is available for different days and shifts Food Safe Certification
