We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cafe Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a clean and inviting cafe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, strong time management skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing transactions. Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines. Handle cash transactions with accuracy and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cafe operations during peak hours.

Skills

Previous experience in the food industry is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Barista experience is advantageous for preparing coffee and specialty drinks. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards. Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management. Pay: From $15.80 per hour
