An exciting opportunity has arisen for a casual/part-time Cafe Assistant to join our cafe team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and supporting the smooth operation of this popular local cafe.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and serving a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea and soft drinks.

Assisting with food preparation, such as plating and presenting menu items.

Providing friendly and attentive table service to customers.

Maintaining a clean and organised cafe environment, including cleaning tables, restocking supplies and light housekeeping duties.

Ensuring all health and safety standards are upheld.

Providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive, welcoming atmosphere.

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within the hospitality or food service industry.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide a warm and friendly service.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.

A genuine passion for food and drink, and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some evenings.

Pay: $17.20-$21.00 per hour
