The Praguery brings a unique Dessert Cafe concept to North America with a focus on real ingredients and flavors. Founded in 2017 in Vancouver, BC by Jaroslav Mestka, The Praguery started as a food truck and has expanded into brick-and-mortar cafes serving freshly baked chimney cakes, house-made soft-serve, and artisan coffee.
Cafe Supervisor
The perfect hire for this position will manage with passion, dedication and integrity all aspects of The Praguery Cafe's operations, supporting the Praguery brand.
You will report to the founder and elevate The Praguery Cafe's brand awareness and presence by taking on operational responsibilities for the cafe like it is your own business and investment because you are super passionate about entrepreneurship, fresh, delicious ice cream and you really love the taste of success!
For The Praguery Cafe, brand growth goes beyond revenue. Developing customer loyalty, raving fans and supporting our communities are non-negotiables and we will ask for examples where you delivered results of this kind.
To ensure our customers receive The Praguery experience we are famous for you will be taught how to Deliver our Exceptional Praguery Customer Experience.
Responsibilities:
Creating and managing staff schedules to meet operational needs and labor targets;
Conducting performance reviews and providing ongoing feedback;
Controlling labor costs, food costs, and waste;
Assisting in meeting sales targets and improving profitability;
Following and enforcing company policies and SOPs;
Communicating operational issues, maintenance needs, and staffing concerns;
Executing in-store promotions and brand initiatives;
Assisting with weekly content creation for marketing;
Creating and publishing one weekly promotional post on the Praguery Cafe Facebook page highlighting offers, promotions, or featured items.
Skills and Personality:
Foodie and super passionate about ice cream, knowledgeable of the market;.
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills;
Budget and financial management skills;
Extroverted, yet communicated diplomatically;
Incredible at relationship building;
Preferably to have work experience in marketing and operations;
Fanatical about customer experience. Leaves everyone better off;
Loves operational efficiencies, and always finding a more efficient way!;
Structured and with systems in place;
Likes to develop documented standardized templates;
Great sense of prioritizing important tasks, small or large;
Comfortable working with a smaller team but with high growth atmosphere;

Details & Compensation:
Full time;
Working weekends and some evenings are required;
Compensation Range: $22.00 to $24.00/hour
