We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations of our bustling cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for coffee, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient service flow to create a welcoming environment for our guests. Previous cafe management, hospitality, or barrista experience, along with expertise in food preparation and team supervision, will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise cafe staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
Oversee daily cafe operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and maintaining cleanliness standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
Ensure compliance with food handling and safety protocols across all areas of the cafe.
Coordinate inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to maximize efficiency.
Develop staff schedules to meet operational needs while optimizing labor costs.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
Implement promotional activities and assist in marketing efforts to attract new customers.
Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for new team members.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that aligns with hospitality standards.
Requirements
Strong passion for coffee
Proven supervising or restaurant management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector.
Master espresso preparation, including dialing in, latte art, and station maintenance.
Experience operating POS systems,
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
Background in cafe management is preferred.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is considered an asset.
