Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations in our cafe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong background in restaurant management, ensuring that our cafe runs smoothly while providing exceptional customer service. The Cafe Manager will be responsible for leading a team, managing food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Supervise daily operations of the cafe, ensuring all staff adhere to company policies and procedures. Manage food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency in all menu items. Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate transactions using the Micros POS system. Train, interview, and manage staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on hospitality and customer service. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency. Implement strategies to enhance customer experience and increase cafe profitability.

Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry. Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising staff. Knowledge of food handling practices, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred. Experience in interviewing and training new employees is a plus. Previous kitchen experience or barista experience is highly desirable. A background in hospitality or hotel operations will be considered an advantage.
