Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in telecommunications and computer networking, with hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cable systems. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various hand tools while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Duties

Install and maintain cable systems for telecommunication services, including low voltage wiring and connections. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Ethernet networks, Cisco routers, and telephony systems. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on cable installations to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively to complete installations and repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards. Document work performed and maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and customer interactions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in telecommunications or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of computer networking principles, including Ethernet configurations. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with low voltage systems and electrical experience is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
