PURPOSE: The Cabinet Maker manufactures product according to drawings, details and instructions provided. The incumbent ensures timely manufacturing and delivery of high quality products which meet client specifications. REPORTS TO: This position reports to the Production Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: \xc2\xb7 Manufacture product according to drawings or instructions provided \xc2\xb7 Interpret drawings, blue prints and other specifications of articles to be constructed \xc2\xb7 Trim joints and fit parts and sub-assemblies together to form complete units \xc2\xb7 Ensure parts, sub-assemblies and finished products are labelled correctly \xc2\xb7 Sand wooden surfaces \xc2\xb7 Prepare and assemble cabinets for installation \xc2\xb7 Install cabinets and custom finishes at job sites \xc2\xb7 Spray finish when required \xc2\xb7 Clean and maintain work areas, including machinery and tools, to ensure a safe working environment \xc2\xb7 Follow work and safety procedures as prescribed \xc2\xb7 Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude \xc2\xb7 Communicate professionally with internal and external clients. \xc2\xb7 Follow direction of lead hands when assigned too them. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: \xc2\xb7 Ensure Storemark safety requirements are carried out at ALL times \xc2\xb7 Demonstrates dependability, efficiency, and ability to work in a fast paced environment \xc2\xb7 Complete tasks in a defined time period, adjusting to changing priorities QUALIFICATIONS: \xc2\xb7 High School Diploma or GED \xc2\xb7 Completion of post-secondary training in cabinet making, carpentry or fine woodworking, considered an asset \xc2\xb7 Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in a high volume production environment in addition to a strong comprehension of metal and wood is required \xc2\xb7 Experience with the fabrication of cabinets, furniture making and general woodworking considered an asset \xc2\xb7 Experience working with wood, metal, acrylic, laminate and glass components \xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal communication skills \xc2\xb7 Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity \xc2\xb7 Ability to visualize a finished product from drawings, blueprints and other specifications Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour Benefits:
