Position Overview

The

Cabinet Shop Foreman

is responsible for managing daily operations in the shop, ensuring quality control, optimizing workflow, and supporting a positive team environment. You'll oversee cabinetmakers, apprentices, and assemblers, while coordinating closely with project managers, designers, and installers to bring each build from plan to perfection.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the cabinet shop team -- including assigning tasks, mentoring staff, and maintaining productivity. Review shop drawings and project specifications to ensure accurate production. Coordinate material orders, inventory, and production schedules. Maintain quality control standards across all builds and finishes. Troubleshoot issues during fabrication or assembly to keep projects on track. Enforce health and safety policies, ensuring a clean and organized work environment. Communicate daily with project management and installation teams to ensure smooth transitions and deadlines are met. Participate in hands-on cabinet production when required.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of cabinetmaking or millwork experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role. Strong understanding of woodworking machinery, materials, and joinery methods. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints accurately. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Working knowledge of CNC equipment is an asset. Experience using Mozaik shop software is an asset. Commitment to safety, precision, and teamwork.

Pay: $22.00-$40.00 per hour
