Cabinet Maker Foreman
who takes pride in both craftsmanship and organization.
The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced
journeyman cabinet maker
ready to lead.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing production, scheduling, assembly, installation, and quality control. You'll work closely with the owner and the production team to keep projects moving smoothly from shop drawing to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, organize, and oversee daily cabinet production, from machining through final install.
Review shop drawings, cut lists, and hardware schedules for accuracy and completeness.
Schedule and coordinate
assembly, installation, and deliveries
for all projects.
Manage material ordering, inventory, and communication with suppliers.
Ensure quality control and resolve issues before products leave the shop.
Train, mentor, and support cabinet makers and apprentices in safe, lean, and precise work methods.
Conduct and document service calls, adjustments, and warranty work as required.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment consistent with 5S principles.
Collaborate with design, project management, and installation teams to meet timelines and budgets.
Help develop and improve
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
for ongoing efficiency gains.
What We're Looking For
Red Seal Cabinet Maker or equivalent journeyman-level experience (8+ years).
Proven leadership experience in a custom cabinet or millwork environment.
Strong knowledge of
frameless construction
,
CNC machining
,
dowel assembly
, and
hardware systems
(Blum, Richelieu, etc.).
Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Skilled in scheduling, prioritizing, and managing small teams.
Comfortable using project-management or production-tracking software ( ERP like Jobman, etc.).
Valid BC driver's license and ability to assist on installations or service calls when required.
A mindset rooted in craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement.
